A361 Paxcroft to Semington Roundabout – Proposed Road Works

As you may have seen on some signs there are roadworks taking place between the Semington Roundabout and the Paxcroft roundabout, here is the informaion which has been passed onto the Parish council.

These works involve resurfacing and patching of the existing carriageway, replacement of road markings and the adjustment of ironwork.

Due to the nature of the required works and the local environment, the works are to be carried out within a temporary road closure, to ensure that adequate health and safety is maintained for local residents / road users and the Contractor. A signed diversion route will be in place during the road closure period.

The works will be completed from Monday 26th September 2016 to Friday 30th September 2016 between 07:00 to 19:00. At present no weekend works are programmed.

These dates and durations could be subject to change due to weather conditions or equipment failure.

During the works period, access to enable residents and businesses to enter and egress their properties may temporarily be restricted due to site operations. The Contractor will endeavour to minimise this, although due to the nature of the works disruption is inevitable. It is essential that the road remains un-trafficked until the new material has set, as early trafficking could lead to premature failure. Therefore on some occasions you may only be able to gain access to your home by parking in the closure and walking to your property. Dedicated Traffic Management operatives will monitor access and give motorists assistance, therefore please communicate with the site staff regarding access concerns in advance.
