The Lamb on The Strand

Hannah McNaughton took over the running of this much loved pub in June 2009.
Many things have changed since her arrival including a new menu and a complete refurbishment of the pub. The Head Chef Jonathon Rogers joined the team in October 2009 Jonathon’s passion for local produce shines through in food that is served.
The Lamb serves locally sourced, wholesome, and affordable food to locals and visitors alike. All of the ingredients are sourced locally where possible. Their Beef comes from Prime of Warminster, Sausages from Downland Farm and the cheese selection is from just down the road at Ashton Farm.

The Lamb has been around for over 250 years.
On the site of this beautiful old pub was originally a Farmhouse, which was changed into “The Carpenters Arms” in the mid 1700’s
“The Lamb” has seen many changes throughout its history. Throughout the early part of the 1900’s, the pub was famous in the area for not actually having a bar, and was laid out as if it were the owners’ living room. The pub has been a family run business for nearly a century with just three proprietors taking the reins since the early 1920’s.

There is plenty going on at The Lamb.
There’s a monthly Ladies Lunch Club (2nd Tuesday of each month) with a chance for ladies to meet up and have a 2 course meal and wine for just £15 per person. Each month has a different local entrepreneur selling a wide selection of items. From hand made jewellery to painted glass and delicious home made chocolates.
Live Jazz events have just started on Sunday evenings – the first took place on the 22nd November. Check out the website for the latest events www.lambonthestrand.co.uk
