Commissioner hosting public performance meeting in Salisbury

Police and Crime Commissioner for Wiltshire and Swindon Angus Macpherson is inviting residents to a public performance meeting in Salisbury on Tuesday 10 September.

Those who attend the meeting, at the Red Lion Hotel, will be able to find out about the performance of Wiltshire Police and other organisations Mr Macpherson is funding, against his main priorities.

Mr Macpherson said: “As Commissioner it is my responsibility to ensure that there is an efficient and effective police service in the area. This includes scrutinising and informing the public about how well Wiltshire Police is performing.
“I am also commissioning other organisations to help achieve my main priorities, and at this Salisbury meeting we will be giving an update on plans about Neighbourhood Justice Panels being rolled out across Wiltshire and Swindon. This is a restorative justice project that I’m supporting through my Innovation Fund.”
Mr Macpherson is due to be joined at the meeting by Wiltshire Police Deputy Chief Constable Mike Veale. There will also be a question and answer session at the meeting.

The Salisbury performance meeting is taking place at the Red Lion Hotel on Milford Street. Refreshments will be available from 5pm, with the meeting starting at 5.30pm.
