Start of the new 2013-14 Season

Semington Magpies
With Nigel Hall and Ricky King at the helm playing in the Trowbridge League 1st Division

1st Game: Semington Magpies 2 – 4 North Bradly
Started well going in 2-0 ahead at half time but with 2 penalties given to the opposition in the 2nd half Semington eventually lost 2-4

2nd Game: Calne Eagles 3 – 1 Semington Magpies
Again started well going in a half time 1-1 but with 2 mistakes in the 2nd half and the fact that Semington missed a hatful of chances Semington lost 3-1

3rd Game: Semington Magpies 8 – 0 Trowbridge Wanderers
Finally Semington took their chances going into half time 5-0 up and finishing off with another 3 in the 2nd half. Andy Harrison scoring 5 of the 8 goals

4th Game: Steeple Ashton 1 – 3 Semington Magpies
Local derby Semington started with a goal in 5 minutes. Added a 2nd midway through the 1st half but let Ashton back into the game with a goal just before half time. Semington scored 1 more in the 2nd half but could have had a more.

5th Game: K.O Cup: Warminster Reserves 1 – 4 Semington Magpies
Semington made it 3 wins in a row, even though not playing at their best going in at half time 1-0 in front. 2nd Half Semington started slowly letting Warminster score to make it 1-1, then in the last 15 minutes Semington scored 3 unanswered goals to win 1-4

Semington Rovers

Big changes at Semington Rovers with manager Allan Clarke and 5/6 players leaving meant it was going to be a very tough year with finding not only a new manager but players as well to start the season. So with all that going on Rich Allum and Matt Russell took charge at Semington Rovers.

1st Game: Castle FC 6 – 0 Semington Rovers
With Semington struggling for players the opposition were just far too good for us 3-0 at half time then 6-0 at full time

2nd Game: Semington Rovers 3 – 3 Bug and Spider
Semington start well going 1-0 ahead but by half time Bug and Spider were 2-1 in front. 2nd half started with Bug and Spider scoring again, but with a great fight back scoring 2 goals in the last 15 minutes Semington got a deserved draw.

3rd Game: K.O Cup: Biddestone Social 8 – 3 Semington Rovers
Semington were on a hiding to nothing from the start as not only did Biddestone win the league last year but also 3 cup competitions. But with the game played in a great spirit by both team and ref Semington were only 5-2 down at half time and held out in the 2nd half until the last 15 minutes were we scored 1 but conceded 3 more.

4th Game: Semington Rovers 2-5 Westbury Rangers
Again Semington started well by scoring after 6 minutes but couldn’t hold on to half time with Westbury equalising. 1-1 at half time. Semington again went ahead in the 60th minute but ran out of steam with 20 minutes to go and the visitors scored 4 goals, disappointing because it was never a 5-2 game
