Semington Village Fete – This Saturday

Why not get those cake tins out and bake us a cake to sell – homemade cakes are always popular.

Dig around in the garage or loft for those unwanted items that someone else will find a perfect buy on Granny’s Attic.

That bottle of wine that Auntie Maud gave you! We can put it to good use on the tombola.

Children’s toy cupboard overfull? Our toy stall will recycle complete, clean games, jigsaws and other toys.

Garden full of specimens ready for transplant? – pot them up and pass them on for the Plant Stall.

Look out for the collection leaflets coming through your door soon or bring your donations to the School Field from 10am on Saturday 5th July.

THEN come and enjoy yourself – we have:

Wessex Contraband, Run for Cover – a band with former Village School pupils, Steam Train Rides, our School performing their dance routine, Zumba, Pony Rides, Hog Roast, Beer Tent, Silent Auction, Coconut Shy, Teas, etc etc

ALSO a Fruitandveg Animal Competition: go to town and create your own amazing creature using any kind of fruit and veg. Certificates will be awarded for those in Year 6 and below and those in Year 7 to 99 years old. AND a Grand Tug of War Sign up on the day.

News: Our chosen charity for this year is Hope for Tomorrow, a charity favoured by Carole Kemp-Potter, our late Magazine Editor. It is a national cancer charity dedicated to bringing cancer treatment closer to patients’ homes.
